BFNations: How you can help

Hello BFN:ers! (we need a better nickname)

A couple of days ago, I put up an announcement on our Discord, asking for talented developers, writers and editors to get in touch with me.

The response was quite overwhelming. More than 50 people got in touch, offering up their valuable time while asking for nothing at all in return. Everyone I talked to was ready to help out of the idea that BFNations is trying to push. On behalf of myself and the rest of the team, we can't thank you enough for this show of support. It keeps us motivated to push even harder, and really make BFN the kind of community it deserves to be.

Several of the applicants that got in touch have now been added to the newly formed BFNTeam, which is the group of people that will help out with some of the hard work necessary to run and develop a project of this ambition.

Having said that, I know there are several of you that are still wondering how you can contribute, but don't necessarily have the time or exact skillset to invest in a team-role.

Sound familiar? Then this article is for you. Below I will list a few of the challenges that we are facing, and suggestions on how you can help us resolve them:

1. Social presence

In order for BFN to grow its reach, and get the exposure we need, we have to build a strong social media presence. We currently have more than 1400 members in total, but our Social accounts haven't really caught up. This will of course improve in time, as we start publishing original content, but one way to help give us a little push would simply be by following us, and re-sharing our content on the platforms below.

1. Subscribe & Follow us on Twitch
2. Subscribe to BFN on Youtube
3. Like us on Facebook
4. Follow us on Twitter
5. Follow us on Instagram

.. We're also on the lookout for a Social Media Manager on BFNations. If you're interested in the role, you can apply here. Finally, if you know any influencers that we should talk to in order to spread the word about BFN, feel free to PM @Anwar on Discord.

2. Engage yoself!

One very straightforward way to contribute is simply by being active on our Discord server, and engaging with other users. Help welcome new members and take them under your wings. Be helpful and offer advice to less experienced players. Talk to players outside of your home nation (#general) and create new connections. In the upcoming months, BFN will be hosting several contests and fun events. When we do, you can help out by participating and letting others know about it.

3. Watch our streams

Every weekend, our Streamteam devotes a lot of time and hard work to bringing you live streams of international friendlies (and soon, the tournament). This is not easy, and involves a lot of coordination between camerawork, commentators, server admins and participating teams. We have a very clear goal of becoming the #1 twitch channel for BF1, and in order to reach that goal we need your help.

Watch our streams, and provide us with feedback on how we can improve. If you have friends that are in to BF1, let them know when a game is on. The faster we can improve our streaming efforts, the more prestigious we can make our events, which will help in bringing the very best players and audience to BFNations.

4. Let us know if you’re awesome at something

We are always on the lookout for talent that shares our passion to re-shape the Battlefield scene. If you're a great designer, musician, writer, programmer or anything else that coul be relevant, let us know. The power of collaboration is a recurring theme here. Together we can really achieve the change we want.

That's all for now. We have a bunch of really exciting things in the pipeline that I can't wait to tell you all about. Until then, Arrivederci!
