Hello competitive friends, Ae_Quitas here with some news!

Today we would like to talk about the future of competitions in BFNations and how we want to expand our team. First of all, and before I proceed, a big shout out to everyone that have participated in our competitions so far. Thank you!

We are a relatively young community and have gone through a lot of changes and adjustments. I guess it's no secret that this journey isn't over, but has just started. While some of you might feel the activity around Battlefield 1 is low since the game is about to reach its end, we have been very busy in the background.

You might remember us posting our competitive schedule for 2018 where a lot of questions still remain unanswered. Things are about to change for BFN and for the Battlefield franchise. From the content we offer, how competitions are brought to you, and to game developers trying to create the ultimate esports experience for us. Initiatives like BFN TV and a new partnership with Toornament, small but important steps towards our goals. Trust us, we got more to offer this year!

Talking about what we want to offer, also leads to what we need. As we are working to improve, one core element definitely needs more hands on deck - our competition team!

With me, Ae_Quitas taking over this department, more than a decade of competitive experience and a clear vision in mind will be brought into that team.

With release of the next Battlefield entry, a two year plan, detailing a minimum commitment of competitions will be released. Such ambitious goals also requires more helping hands.

Competition team

This team will be involved in detail planning of almost all core competitions we want to offer. The competition team will be dedicated to solving day to day work e.g. match reporting, compliance, communication across teams, nations and cultures. Providing players a reliable point of contact during ongoing competitions and guiding less experienced gamer to start their career.

Rules committee

The rules committee will act more as a variable group of experts with broad knowledge to game mechanics, weapons, statistics and will be less involved in actually planning. The rules committee will ensure that competition rules are updated at any time, based on facts and less driven by feelings. This team will help BFN to make matches enjoyable to play but also enjoyable to watch during our broadcasts.

Sounds interesting and you want to be part? Then continue reading, as we are looking for both PC and console people to fill up open slots.
